Who We Are
Our History
We are a local non-profit organization led under the direction of a volunteer board of directors, located in the heart of Duluth, MN. Our doors first opened in 1921 and we’ve been open since! Pictured above are two of our incredible beneficiaries, A.M. Miller, who with their gracious help played a large part in opening our doors over 100 years ago.
Today we are one of the few Licensed Boarding Care Homes in Minnesota remaining which provides us the unique opportunity to care for senior citizens with a wide spectrum of needs and care levels.
Our Services
We specialize in care and daily living assistance to an array of individuals. Services include 24/7 Nursing care, three meals a day, assistance in bathing, dressing and grooming and assistance with other activities of daily living is also provided.
We will take the time to get to know you and develop an individualized care plan that fits your specific needs.
Our Mission
Aftenro’s mission is a commitment to enhancing the quality of life and independence of its residents through professional nursing and supportive services.
All staff are trained annually in Alzheimer’s and Dementia care.
